Dead Pixel Test - Screen Check
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I run a display test?
Open the app and tap any test from the dashboard, or use "Quick Check" to run the 4 core tests in sequence. Follow the on-screen instructions for each test.
What does each test result mean?
Pass means no issues were detected. Warning means a potential issue was found that may need attention. Fail means a clear problem was detected. Each result includes plain-language guidance on what to do next.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. All 9 display tests run entirely on your device. The app works completely offline.
What's the difference between free and premium?
Free includes 4 core tests (dead pixel, touch screen, brightness, color accuracy) with unlimited individual runs and 3 Quick Checks per day. Premium unlocks all 9 tests, unlimited Quick Checks, full test history, and PDF report export.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". This will restore your premium subscription if you've previously purchased one.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Dead Pixel Test and tap Cancel Subscription.
The pixel fix tool didn't work. Is my screen broken?
The pixel fix tool attempts to revive stuck pixels by rapidly cycling colors. It may not fix all stuck pixels, and it cannot fix dead pixels (pixels that are permanently off). If the tool doesn't help, the pixel may require a professional screen repair.
Does the app collect my data?
No. All test results and preferences are stored locally on your device. We cannot access your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
